Our Story

About Us

Krua thai’s journey has been going on for over 21 years, established in 1997. Our late Thai Chef, Mr. Wichai, was the head and the first Chef to introduce Thai cuisine in Nepal.

We currently have 2 respective Thai Chefs who have been well trained and experienced under him for over 21 years. In these 21 years of wonderful journey and experience, we have acknowledged the Thai cuisine, taste and culture.

Mr.Binod Shrestha

Our Managing/Executive Director Mr. Binod Shrestha is an entrepreneur who initially started Krua Thai along his brothers as a family business in 1997. Mr. Shrestha now has formed a team with his daughter and trusted companion to rejuvenate the Thai culture, taste and ambience in the heart of Kathmandu.

With over 2 decades of experience Mr. Shrestha and his team vows to preserve which was once a family-run business through strong determination, hard work and honesty

Managing Team

Ms Reeya Shrestha(left), the youngest member of the Krua Thai pursues her passion for food and art by following her father’s footsteps. Ms. Shrestha aims to connect Thai tastes & culture with remarkable service and experience in Nepal and has been in this field for more than 2 years. “Since it started off as a family business, there was always expressive affection and my dad has been my biggest inspiration and influencer and have been following his leadership and made my journey here so far” -says Ms. Shrestha .

Bishan Khadka(right), the Executive Director of the Krua Thai has been in the field of food service industry for over a decade. Started off as a young entrepreneur from Butwal to Japan. Mr. Khadka has come a long way. With his level of experience, commitment and hard work, he aims to utilize his capability to bring consistency in the business.

Mr. Shekhar Adhikari being mostly into tourism sector is also a valuable member of the Krua Thai family for over a decade. With his experience in the tourism and technical ability, he further aims to implement his knowledge and skills in guiding Krua Thai to further successs
